The Astiz Lab was very happy to welcome Prof. Jin Bao during her visit to Bilbao (Spain). Prof. Jin Bao is a Professor of Neuroscience in CAS University and SIAT University (China) and the Principal Investigator of the Bao Lab at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (China). Our labs have started a very exciting collaboration to understand how the neuro-glia circuit in the suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN) works, and we could not miss the opportunity to invite her for a scientific gathering at Achucarro.
The aim of the meeting was to share the scientific questions that cannot be answered by one lab, with the idea of finding common interests and exploring collaborative projects to help each other.Â
We had the opportunity to learn about the main research lines of the Bao Lab, which include sensory emotion regulation, oxytocin and GABA signaling, and synaptic plasticity. A well-deserved break for some pintxos was the best way to share time and exciting new ideas.Â
It was an absolute pleasure to meet Prof. Jin Bao and we are excited to continue working together!Â
